Palm Project Ares Boosts App Development

Despite Palm being beset by a whole bunch of bad news, at least there are some positive developments coming from the company, as it has just introduced its Ares development tool, allowing developers to create applications within a browser. Since Palm is hosting the development environment in the cloud, it should be a lot easier to access it. If this helps spur app development in Palm’s App Catalog, it’s certainly a good move, as Apple has shown that a well populated App Store is a great asset. If you’re part of Palm’s developer program, you’ll be able to access it for free. From the looks of it, it’s pretty cool.
